ReWound is a take back and resale program allowing customers to send back any used watch. Watches with more life to live will be sold on Timex ReWound. For the watches received that have already lived their best days and do not qualify for resale, we will upcycle the parts and materials for new products, including watches.
Q. How does TIMEX ReWound work?
TIMEX ReWound offers customers the opportunity to send their used watches back to TIMEX ReWound at no cost. Simply print out a free shipping label and send us your used watches using your mailbox, postal carrier, local post office or any postal drop box nationwide. In addition, you can also call USPS for a free pickup right from your doorstep.
After we receive your watch, we expertly clean and restore it. Then it is placed on this website to find a new home. If we are unable to restore the watch, we will ground it down and use it as material for a new watch or other product. Get started now.
Q. How sustainable is this program?
Zero items from the watches you send back will end up in landfill. Any items that do not make it to resale will be disassembled and entered into their proper recycling stream to be imagined into new items.

The watches are disassembled into each material and the specific materials will enter their proper recycling stream.
Q. What happens to my used watch after TIMEX ReWound receives it?
After we receive your used watches, the items are expertly cleaned and restored. Then they are placed for sale on this website. If we are unable to restore the watch, we will responsibly recycle the materials or upcycle into new products.
Q. What type of watches will you take back? Are there any exceptions?
We accept all used watches from all brands -- no matter the condition.
Q. Are there any items that I shouldn't send back?
We are happy to take back all watches.
Q. Can I send something in to be repaired? Do I get the watch back once it’s been repaired?
No. TIMEX ReWound is just a resell and recycle program.
Q. Is there a limit to the number of watches that I send back?
No, there is no limit to the number of watches sent back.
Q. Will I get new items if I send back my used watch?
No. While you won't receive a new item, you will receive a 20% discount that you can use on Timex.com. Once we have confirmed your used watches have shipped out, we will send an email with your 20% off coupon for Timex.com.
Q. How much does it cost to send watches back?
There is no cost to send your used items back. All you have to do is provide the box, pack up your used watches, download and print the shipping label, add it to the box, and drop it off at your mailbox, postal carrier, local post office or any postal drop box. Shipping is on us.
Q. Can I send more than one watch in one box?
Yes. You can send as many watches as you can fit in one box.
Q. What happens when I give you my old watches?
After we receive your watch, we expertly clean and restore it. Then it is placed on this website to find a new home. If we are unable to restore the watch, we will responsibly recycle the materials or upcycle into new products.
What's the condition of the watch being resold?
We ensure we’re providing an accurate depiction of the condition of returned watches. The condition of the watch being resold is categorized into two ratings: Good and Excellent. Watches rated as "Good" show visible signs of wear, potential issues with indiglo or day/date functions, and the water-resistant feature is not guaranteed. In contrast, "Excellent" watches have minimal to no visible wear, fully functional features, and may possibly be water-resistant up to 30m.
What can I expect regarding the battery life and functionality of the watches being resold?
For every watch we sell with a quartz movement, it comes with a new and fully functional battery. For those with mechanical movements, we have thoroughly tested them to ensure they are operational. Specifically, we wind and verify that they maintain accurate time over a 12-hour period. We inspect and repair all watches to the best of our ability, but we do not offer long-term guarantees regarding timekeeping accuracy, battery life, or water resistance rating.
Q. What is the discount/incentive once I ship my watch in?
You receive a coupon for 20% off your next purchase on Timex.com once we have confirmed your used watches have shipped out to us.

Q. I sent back a used item and haven't received my discount coupon.

It's really easy to return your used watch. All you have to do is pack up your watch in a box, print off a shipping label, and put the label on the box. Q. Can I send in any watch brand or just Timex?
You can return any watch brand. Returns are not exclusive to just Timex watches.
Q. Can I take my used watch to a store?
Watches can only be returned by mail, however we are looking into future initiatives for store drop-off. Start here to print a shipping label to return your used item at no cost to you.
Q. How do I get a free shipping label?
Simply start here and follow the steps. You will be offered the opportunity to download a free shipping label.
Q. I’m on my phone, how do I get the label printed out?
Your shipping label will download as a PDF on your phone. You will need to connect your phone to a printer to print the label.
Q. How does UPS Mail Innovations work?
UPS Mail Innovations is a partnership between UPS and USPS, allowing customers to return their packages using their mailbox, postal carrier, USPS local post office or any postal drop box nationwide. You can conveniently send us your used watches using either of those methods. In addition, you can also call USPS for a free pickup right from your doorstep.
Q. Do I put the address that I want to receive my TIMEX ReWound watch back to on the shipping label?
No. Because TIMEX ReWound is a resell and recycle program, the watch will not be sent back to you after we receive it. What happens to my used watch once TIMEX ReWound receives them?
Q. I lost the shipping label. How do I print another one?
When you start a return, a shipping label will also be sent to your email.
Q. This is my first time trying this. I keep getting an error message telling me to restart the process.
